USING PODCASTS AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

A podcast is an audio or video file and can be broadcast via internet. It can be downloaded to a computer or mobile devices as well.  the term podcast is derived from iPod(Apple portable MP3 player) and broadcast.

Podcasts can be listened from the existing one or by creating a new one. By using existing podcasts, it encourages students to find a podcast that interests them and listen to carefully. It varies from different levels and topics.

To make a podcast, one should have an audio recording tool, online voice recorder or a smartphone. Editing of the podcast can be used from Audacity or any online audio editor.

Then, the podcast can be uploaded to Youtube, SoundCloud, iTunes or even your blog!
