We often type www in our engine search but do we know what is it actually? It is actually stands for World Wide Web. It is a web tool that allows user to enter keywords and find information on websites contained in its databases.
There are four parts of search engine which are Database to store references to Webpages, Web-Crawlers to find and compile indexes of Web pages, User Interface and Information Retrieval System.
Database is a storage where all indexed webpages are stored. It contains only essential information about the webpage and this is where the user's query is matched.
Web-crawlers or spider is an automated program or bot that 'crawls' all over the webpage collecting information consisting of keywords, titles, synonyms, access frequency and relevancy. The information is indexed and stored in database.
User interface is a user-friendly site/app where users may input query and search results are presented.
